Privacy Policy
Queople helps people find LGBTQ+ community locally. This page explains the information used to run that experience and the choices you have.

Information you give us
When you create an account, we receive your email address and the profile information you choose to provide, such as a display name, profile photo, city, region, ZIP code, pronouns, bio, interests, and accessibility or discovery preferences. Your location settings are for nearby discovery; the current onboarding flow does not request precise GPS location.
We also store the events, Circles, and organizations you interact with; RSVPs, follows, saves, comments, reports, and organizer submissions where you use those features. If you contact us, we receive what you include in your message.
How we use it
We use this information to provide accounts, show relevant local content, manage member actions, review submissions and reports, communicate about your account, and improve Queople. Your interest and discovery selections are not used to automatically decide eligibility for an identity-centered Circle.
What others can see
Public event, Circle, organization, and comment content can be seen by other visitors according to each feature's visibility settings. Profile photos are stored at public URLs and may be visible wherever your profile appears. Your saved items, onboarding answers, and private profile preferences are not published as public profile fields. Avoid putting private information in public submissions or comments.
Event responses default to private. For each Going or Interested response, you can instead make your name visible to accepted friends or everyone. An event organizer can see private Going responses for their event; response counts include private responses without identifying members. Accepted friends can see each other's display names. Saved group owners manage their lists, and members can see their own group membership and leave. Private event chats and messages are readable only by people who accepted that chat invitation; a chat invitation alone does not reveal its messages. Leaving a chat removes access to its messages. Muting hides its in-app unread indicator; Queople does not currently send chat push notifications.
Service providers
Queople uses Supabase for accounts and database services and Vercel to host the website. Optional Supporter checkout, when enabled, uses Stripe; Stripe handles payment details under its own terms and privacy practices. We may disclose information when needed to operate the service, respond to a lawful request, or address safety and abuse. We do not currently use advertising pixels on Queople pages.
Storage and retention
Sign-in uses browser cookies. Queople also uses local browser storage for some member actions and offline-capable static assets. See the Cookie Policy for details. We keep account and activity information while it is needed to provide the service, address safety issues, or meet applicable obligations. Removing a local browser copy does not by itself remove account data held by Queople.
Your choices and requests
You can edit profile and discovery choices from your account and change your weekly digest preference in Profile. To request access, correction, or deletion of account information, email hello@queople.com. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account before acting on it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Queople changes. The date above shows when this version was last revised. Questions about privacy can be sent to hello@queople.com.
